The Durango Blues Train is an exclusive musical event providing two consecutive evenings of live blues featuring the same artists for both Friday and Saturday. while traveling on the Historic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad’s coal-fired, steam-powered locomotive through the spectacular and breathtaking canyons of the San Juan National Forest. The event features six live blues bands performing throughout the train and a party environment that will guarantee an unforgettable experience. 

Each blues artist performs in their own vintage rail coach car, while passengers are to free to dance, move and sample all the musical acts while traveling from one railcar to next. Entertainment and favorite libations are peppered with the scenery of the famous train featured in the Hollywood production, “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”. 

Passengers aboard will experience breath taking sunset views along the "Highline," a world famous section of the railroad, as the train crawls along cliffs high above the Animas River, known to be the most beautiful section of the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. Tentative Schedule:
6:30-6:50PM Train Boards
7:00PM Train departs Depot
8:20PM Train arrives at Highline
10:10PM Trains arrives back to Depot*

*Train departure time is firm however return time to the Depot is tentative.

Fares:
$95.00* per person (age 21+) Includes train admission.
*Subject to a 6% Historic Preservation fee.
