Tickets for August 16 & 17 are set to go on sale March 13 at 10 am (MT). Tickets will be available online here and over the phone at (970) 728-8037. Tickets are very limited and will sell out in advance with Saturday going first. Tickets are $119 per person per night plus a historic preservation fee of 7%. The artist lineup will be announced the day before tickets go on sale on March 12 at 11 am (MT).
Please note, the Durango Blues Train is limited to ages 21+.
The Durango Blues Train will return with the same format, featuring nine historic passenger cars, a steam-engine locomotive, two full bands, four solo/duo acts and three bars featuring wine and award-winning craft beer and hard cider from Ska Brewing, Telluride Brewing Company and Big B’s Hard Cider. The 3.5-hour moving musical adventure departs from the downtown Durango Train Depot making its way through the beautiful Animas Valley into the San Juan National Forest and then back again.
Each artist performs in their own vintage coach, while passengers are free to dance their way from coach to coach and delight in a variety of musical performances. Four coaches have seats while two are open with no seats to entice and encourage dancing. Enjoy the blues, award-winning craft beer, hard cider and the beautiful scenery of the famous train featured in the Hollywood production, “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid."
To cap it all off, passengers will experience breathtaking sunset views along the "Highline," a world famous section of the railroad, as the train crawls along craggy cliffs 400 feet high above the Wild Animas River, known to be the most beautiful section of the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad.
